A Collective Voice

As the primary voice of plastic surgery physicians in Illinois, ISPS gives our members a collective, unified voice. We serve as the voice of plastic surgery by sharing information with the public. We communicate with government officials and work with elected state officials in Springfield to advocate for plastic surgeons and represent their professional goals.

Through a partnership with MedPro, ISPS has created a customized liability coverage program. The program combines MedPro’s expertise, financial strength and exceptional win rate, with local defense teams and special coverage options suited for plastic surgery practices. Because the program was developed for a collective group, it offers pricing benefits that many individual medmal plans can’t match.

An Educational Resource

ISPS hosts a wide variety of educational activities, including weekly lectures and an annual event. We work with corporate vendors and Illinois state training programs to attract well- regarded speakers and experts. These events provide information that helps physicians further their careers while earning valuable CME credits.

A Place to Connect

Through events and forums, ISPS gives plastic surgery physicians an avenue to connect with and learn from their peers. Our events and online forums offer the opportunity to “crowdsource” best practices, habits, tips and tricks. For physicians looking for professional assessments, ISPS forums and events are a great place to seek advice. Our programs and events provide valuable networking opportunities as physicians transition from academic and residency programs into the professional world. We also support an annual senior resident paper competition, to elevate new ideas from up-and-coming physicians.
